About me, Diana Jost
My name is Diana. I was born and raised on the Swiss Alps. I always wondered what was beyond these beautiful mountains and this curiosity set me off, travelling all over the world. Despite the attractive places I have seen and the inspiring people I have met I did realise a few years ago that I should allow myself to grow some roots. I ended up in the south of Portugal where the sun warms up my cold body and the general vibes calm down my restless mind…
(a typical Vata constitution in ayurvedic terms).
I studied physical education (ETH Zurich) and later became a qualified yoga teacher (Sivananda Ashram, Austria). In addition I am a nutritionist (school of natural health science, GB), ayurvedic health and nutrition adviser (International society of Kamlesh Ayruveda) a massage therapist (Thai Yoga Massage, Indian Head Massage, science of Yoga school, India) and a life coach (school of natural health science).
Currently I am located in Portugal’s Algarve as a yoga teacher to the local community, surfers
and different retreat holiday locations. I also work as a nutritionist, give several yoga and ayurveda workshops, ayurvedic and vegetarian cooking classes. I also perform and teach different types
of massage. I have finally found the perfect location to run my own yoga retreat holidays (click on Retreat Holidays in the navigation above) after working for many different retreats.
Every day I am very grateful being able to do what I love to do. I am inspired by: all my students, all my clients, my friends, my family, my most loyal companion Rusty (my dog, who illustrates much more to me than the ideal downard facing dog), by many masters and very much by nature. It is my passion to help people tap into nature’s wonders in order to achieve health and happiness. |
